RONIN DJI RS4 PRO COMBO – REVIEW & TRAINING

I recently had the chance to attend a RONIN DJI gimbal training course hosted by Precision Camera & Video, and it turned out to be one of the most worthwhile learning experiences I’ve had in a long time.

The class was led by the incredibly knowledgeable Keydrin Franklin, a true expert in the world of gimbals. From the moment he started teaching, it was clear we were learning from someone who has spent years mastering his craft. Keydrin has a rare ability to break down complex techniques into simple, practical steps that you can immediately apply. On top of that, he’s genuinely funny and engaging—He literally zooms around on his Segway, gimbal in hand, capturing smooth, cinematic footage like it was second nature. It wasn’t just entertaining—it was inspiring to see that level of control and creativity in action.

As an experienced photographer and videographer, I didn’t walk in expecting to learn a ton—but I was wrong. Keydrin shared countless real-world tips and tricks that only come from years of hands-on experience. His insight into balancing, movement techniques, shot composition, and workflow efficiency was incredibly valuable. You can tell why he represents brands like Sigma, Westcott Lighting, and FW Camera—he brings a level of professionalism and passion that’s hard to match.

After the course, I felt confident and informed enough to make a decision on my next gimbal—and I ultimately chose the DJI RS 4 Pro. The combination of its robust payload capacity, carbon fiber build, and incredibly smooth stabilization made it the clear winner for my needs. It just felt like the right tool for someone serious about professional-level video work.

I put it to the test almost immediately while filming a conference, and it absolutely delivered. The stabilization was flawless, even during long shooting days. Transitions were buttery smooth, and the overall build quality gave me confidence throughout the entire event. It handled everything I threw at it without hesitation, and the results looked polished and cinematic right out of the gate.

All in all, this experience—from the class to the purchase to real-world use—was outstanding. Huge thanks to Precision Camera for offering such a valuable opportunity, and to Keydrin Franklin for sharing his expertise in such an engaging and memorable way. If you ever get the chance to take one of his classes, don’t hesitate—you’ll walk away better at what you do.
