As a Senior Graphic Designer and Creative Director, with over 15 years of experience working on national and international marketing, advertising, product launches, and image campaigns for global brands and companies, I help companies create a powerful brand identity that drives sales awareness and long-term success.
I’ve worked on corporate advertising, business-to-business marketing, and freelance graphic design projects. My background includes corporate, business-to-business agency, and freelance graphic design experience, with a history of leading print, interactive and digital design projects to acclaimed completion.
With nationwide and international marketing, advertising, product launch, and image campaigns for global brands and companies, including JP Sears, CSC now DXC Technology, Orbotix, ZT Systems, Rob Lowe’s Profile/Cobalt Skincare Line, A88CBD, as well as a host of startup and mid-size businesses.
SC Designs authentic style and fluid design, in conjunction with in-depth research, analysis, and creative thinking allow you, the client, to reap the benefits of a well organized project from conception to completion.
I was hired by Pervasive Software in 2000 to re-brand the company and establish a new set of brand standards. In 2005, I accepted a new role at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as a Sr. Designer and Event Photographer. I left CSC in 2013 to focus on opening my own craft brewery in Colorado. From conception to completion, I branded and marketed Grossen Bart Brewery from the ground up. In 2017 I left Colorado to pursue the role as Sr. Graphic Designer and Videographer for Applied Research Laboratories (ARL) at the University of Texas in Austin.
It was an honor serving ARL and the Department of Defense for six years. Recently I accepted a new role at The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). I was hired as the Sr. Videographer and Graphic Designer. ERCOT manages the flow of electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers – representing about 90 percent of the state’s electric load. ERCOT is a membership-based 501(c)(4) nonprofit corporation, governed by a board of directors and subject to oversight by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Texas Legislature.
I’ve been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I began college in Dallas, Texas as a Fine Art major, but later switched to Communication Design at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. This was prompted after a discussion with the late Cartoonist Bill “Tex” Henson in 1993. He is credited with having named Disney’s chipmunk duo “Chip ‘n’ Dale“. In the 1960s, he was a supervising animator on The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Tex saw something in one of my ink illustrations that made him say: “Son, I think you’d be a wonderful Graphic Designer!” That conversation meant something to me, and the rest is history!
My passion is bringing your idea to life! It brings me great satisfaction and joy helping clients achieve their creative goals. I listen carefully to your needs, and plot the course to success!
~Shad Chancey
My projects have included developing and creating the aesthetics and visual design to support complex communications and marketing campaigns in media appropriate to messages and channels, utilizing and evolving existing corporate identity standards while meeting business objectives. (The majority of my work at ARL is classified, and cannot be shared.)
Your logo design is the face of your business. It is the foundation of where your brand begins, so you have to get it right. With each logo design project, I will provide to you three ideas to choose from and two rounds of revisions. Each custom logo design is unique, different, and most importantly ORIGINAL. A logo that is memorable is a logo worth talking about. Lets connect to bring your brand to life.
I have grown up living and breathing art. As an only child, it was my escape and my best friend. I started my journey in college as a fine art major. After completing all of my courses, I switched my major to communication design. I still seek refuge in the world of oils, pastels, graphite, and charcoal.

I specialize in visual art, and great photography is a instrumental part in nearly everything that I do.
